Ice Abstractions

On winter walks in woods, at the saltwater marsh, on cliffside trails, and through summer cottage laneways, I occasionally encounter frozen puddles with fascinating and extraordinary patterns.  Ephemeral natural phenomena, they are subject to destruction by passing vehicles, my curious dog, or warming weather.  These images were captured with an iPhone camera and acheived through adjustment of contrast and sometimes the application of a photo filter, but they are, in essence, Nature’s artwork.
